Student Life Kids Camp Registration is LIVE!

Get ready for an unforgettable summer—Student Life Kids Camp 2026 is officially open for registration!

Who: Current 3rd – 5th Graders
When: Monday, July 20 – Thursday, July 23
Where: Shocco Springs
Cost: $250

Theme: Word & Wonder
Based on Isaiah 40:8
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”

Life is full of choices, and God’s Word is our guide—showing us how to walk with Jesus every day. This summer at camp, kids will explore the parables of Jesus and discover how to:

Build their lives on a firm foundation
Receive His forgiveness
Love others well

When we trust in Jesus and follow His Word, we can walk confidently, knowing He lights the way!

This is going to be an incredible week filled with fun, worship, friendships, and spiritual growth—and you won’t want your child to miss it.

We’re excited to invite you to serve alongside Redemption Church Red Hook in Red Hook, NY this fall!

Trip Dates: October 28 – November 1
Travel: Flight from Huntsville to LaGuardia
Hotel: The Lodge Red Hook (Wednesday–Sunday)
Cost: $1,000

What We’ll Be Doing

Fall Festival Outreach
Redemption Church hosts a community-wide Fall Festival with music, food and a costume contest. The team will set up, work and break down this event.

Food Pantry Ministry
Serve local families through hands-on outreach at their food pantry.

Sunday Worship Gathering
Join Redemption Church for worship and fellowship on Sunday morning.

American Sign Language Ministry at Westmeade

Only 1% of the Alabama deaf residents have access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. With the new Alabama School for the Deaf in Decatur, God has brought a mission field to Westmeade. We have started a Bible Study on Wednesday nights from 6:15pm-7:15pm that is interpreted for the deaf. If you or anyone you know has a hearing impairment or deaf, please invite them to join us. Misty Haskins or Bonita Smith will meet them in the elevator lobby prior to the start of class.

Westmeade now has ASL interpreting during our 2nd and 4th Sunday worship gatherings. An ASL Bible Study is also offered each Wednesday at 6:15pm in room 102 of the worship center.

First Steps Class

WHAT IS FIRST STEPS?

First Steps is a guided one year class that will help new believers as they begin their walk with Christ as well as anyone who desires to grow in the Christian basics but doesn’t know where to start.

WHEN IS FIRST STEPS?

First Steps meets the first Wednesday of each month between February and November from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Participants can jump in on any month and then continue until they’ve completed all ten basics.

CLASSES INCLUDE

1. God: Is He Out There?

2. War: Why Did Life Just Get Harder?

3. Voices: Who Am I Listening To?

4. Bible: Can We Trust It?

5. Believe: What Should I Know?

6. Character: How Do I Change?

7. Training: How Do I Grow As A Christian?

8. Church: Do I Have To Go?

9. Relationships: How Do I Make Things Right?

10. Service: How Do I Give Back?

CORE Discipleship Groups

CORE seminars are an invaluable and indispensable part of disciple-making at Westmeade. These in-depth seminars cover topics like: Systematic Theology, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Apologetics, Missions, Evangelism, Meeting with God, Fear of Man, and many more. Over time, the material taught in CORE will teach every basic and foundational truth that a Christian should know, live and share. CORE seminars are every Wednesday from 6:15-7:15pm and are for all ages.

ADULTS:

Join us for the new Core seminar beginning January 7, and continuing through Wednesday, April 1, as we consider things like what the Bible says about itself, the existence and attributes of God, creation, providence, sin, and the person and work of Jesus Christ. That’s what systematic theology is – it helps show in a systematic way what the whole Bible say about a given doctrine. In this seminar you will grow and be encouraged. Join us tonight, Wednesday, January 7, at 6:15pm in the sanctuary.

STUDENTS: Beginning January 7, students will begin a series called “Following Jesus.” What does it look like to actually follow Jesus daily? They will be studying God’s Word to see what it means to walk with Jesus, listen to Jesus, talk with Jesus and meet with Jesus according to Scripture. Students, join us tonight in the Refuge at 6:15pm.

KIDS: Our WestmeadeKids will be kicking off another semester of KidsPraise. Parents, make sure to have your kids be a part of this special ministry. Join us each Wednesday night in the Upper Room at 6:15pm.

*Childcare is available for Babies – Pre-K during CORE on Wednesday nights.

Now offering t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, and v-necks in various colors for Westmeade, Westmeade Students, Kids Ministry and Kids Praise through the convenience of Amazon. (Free shipping is available for Prime users or orders over $25 but delivery takes about 5-6 days)

T-Shirts: (includes Westmeade “W” shirt, Westmeade Students shirt, Westmeade Kids shirt as well as Kids Praise shirt) The t-shirts are premium quality Bella Canvas brand shirts. Consider purchasing a size larger in the t-shirts as they are a slimmer fit and may shrink a little.
V-Necks: These are by Port & Company and are a ring spun fabric. The V-necks are women’s sizes only and run small – considering ordering 1-2 sizes up.
Long Sleeve T-Shirts: Also, by Port & Company made from ring spun fabric, these fit pretty true to size.
Hoodies: The hoodies are made by Port & Company and are a ring spun sweater material (very soft and comfy).
