Join Us in Serving Red Hook with Redemption Church!

Why Red Hook?

We are prayerfully gathering a team of 10-15 people to serve alongside our partner, Redemption Church, in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Redemption Church is committed to God’s power to transform and restore broken people, bringing hope to families in need of the life-changing message of Jesus. Red Hook is a neighborhood where this mission is vital, and we are excited to be part of this incredible work.

Where We’ll Stay:

Our team will be staying at The Lodge Red Hook, just two blocks from where the church meets.

What We’ll Do:

Here’s a look at our tentative itinerary:

📅 Saturday, June 21 – Travel & check-in
📅 Sunday, June 22 – Worship at Redemption Church & team meeting
📅 Monday, June 23 – Prayer walk & park clean-up, Dinner with Pastor and his wife
📅 Tuesday, June 24 – Serving + Brooklyn Tabernacle Prayer Meeting & team dinner out
📅 Wednesday, June 25 – Serving + possible trip to Manhattan/attraction (or Thursday)
📅 Thursday, June 26 – Serving + team dinner out
📅 Friday, June 27 – Check-out & return flight

How We’ll Serve:

Our biggest service project will be helping the school where Redemption Church meets host an end-of-school-year celebration—a day filled with games, food, and community engagement. Expect lots of walking, standing, and warm weather!

Throughout the week, we’ll also assist in food distribution through Redemption Church’s food pantry, connecting face-to-face with local residents and showing Christ’s love in action.

Important Details:

✅ Deposit: $100 non-refundable deposit due at sign-up (secures airfare)
✅ Deadline to Register: May 14
✅ Final Payment Due: One week before departure
✅ Application: A mission trip application must be submitted for team review

We worked hard to keep your cost to $400 by offsetting expenses through our missions budget. However, you’ll need to budget for:

• SLKC IS FOR ALL KIDS WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN 3^RD – 5^TH GRADE

Once you have filled out the registration form and paid a $100 deposit, you will receive the SLKC registration / waiver. Online Payments can be given through the “Giving” button on the Realm App (please designate SLKC under the funds tab). Cash or Checks can be given to the church office or placed in the offering buckets (please put your child’s name and SLKC on the envelope).
