Types of Membership

Full Membership – Full membership includes legal covering to
homeschool under the Alabama state law for the
Church School Option as discussed on page 6 of our handbook.
Full members are required to submit all forms
and fees at registration. We also require an up-to-date membership with
Home School Legal Defense (www.hslda.org).





The following forms are to be completed and turned in at registration:

o  Church School Enrollment Form (1 per school age child)
o  Student Information Form – Full Member (1 per family)
o  Curriculum Selection Form (1 per school age child and may be turned in by August 1st)

All forms can be found in the back of our handbook and may be copied as needed. Forms may also be
picked up in the MHCS office. Late paperwork may compromise your enrollment in our church school.

Associate Membership – Associate membership does not include legal covering. Associate members with
school age children must have an active membership with another covering organization. Associate members
enjoy the opportunities offered to full members but are not required to complete most of the paperwork since
MHCS does not maintain attendance or progress records for the associate member family. The only form to be
completed annually is the Student Information Form – Associate Member, which can be found at the back of
of our handbook and copied as needed or picked up from the church office.
